Or perhaps you’re interested in understanding the delicate balance between editorial responsibilities and nurturing one's own creative projects? Whether you're a writer aspiring to break through the slush pile or considering a career in editing, come prepared with your questions to this intimate discussion!

London Pinkney is a writer and editor. She is the founder and editor-in-chief of The Ana. In 2021, she was awarded the Debra Plousha Moore Scholarship due to her service to the literary advancement of Black Americans, women, and their intersecting communities. In 2023, she was a Show US Your Spines resident with RADAR Productions and San Francisco Public Library’s Hormel Center. Her work can be read in numerous places, including Mirage #5 / Period[ical], OmniVerse, and the anthology Nonwhite and Woman (Woodhall Press). She is currently working on her debut book—an essay collection about Black Californians.

Luiza Flynn-Goodlett is the author of Mud In Our Mouths (forthcoming from Northwestern University Press) and Look Alive (winner of the 2019 Cowles Poetry Book Prize from Southeast Missouri State University Press), along with numerous chapbooks, most recently Familiar (forthcoming from Madhouse Press) and The Undead (winner of Sixth Finch Books' 2020 Chapbook Contest). Her poetry can be found in Fugue, Five Points, TriQuarterly, and elsewhere. She serves as an Assistant Poetry Editor of the Whiting Award–winning LGBTQIA2S+ literary journal and press Foglifter. Her critical work has appeared in Cleaver, Pleiades, The Adroit Journal, and other venues.

Noah Sanders is the founder and host of The Racket Reading Series and the editor of The Racket Journal. He has a nine month baby so if he starts to nod off, you know why.
